Minnesota Dames at Ramsey House Reopening
NSCDA-MN Dames were pleased to be a part of the grand reopening of the Alexander Ramsey House in St. Paul, which had been closed since the pandemic began in 2020. Dames volunteered to work shifts at our tent on the grounds, answering questions about our organization and sharing stories of our founders and Minnesota ancestors. NSCDA-MN has a special relationship with the Alexander Ramsey House, operated by the Minnesota Historical Society. Anna Furness, granddaughter of Alexander Ramsey and the house’s last resident, provided for the NSCDA-MN to be involved with governance and upkeep of the house through a joint Board of Governors with the MNHS. We are pleased to be a part of the house’s legacy to this day.
